Ya’ll know I’m loving every minute of this.... and not in that fake-ass “must be nice” kind of way either..... This is self-care to the max and super inspirational...well for me at least.

With that said, me + Vasha click because in a way we’re literally such DIVERSE personalities that we’re often perceived as unrelatable, which believe it or not has sometimes kept us from certain opportunities within our OWN communities because yes, we black folk have our boxes too and we don’t fit any of the stereotypes already set up...

See we’re not light skinned with “good hair” which is generally an automatic win in the black community we’re also not “hood” which often is accepted if it’s deemed charming... yet we’re also not the corporate-types eager to assimilate like many super educated black people choose to be... but neither a super pro-black afro-centric extremist sort either... and so on and so forth through the boxes.

Plus nobody wanna really talk about that right now because we’re supposed to be focused elsewhere...but BELIEVE me Vasha is loving this whole rant right now - this is totally her style so I’ll keep going.

Nevertheless, we’re super niche-y black chics and we know it - but we’re also AUTHENTIC and RELENTLESS... which clearly seems to trump being relatable in the long run (pun intended) but I digress.

In fact she actually came up with the term - RICH WHITE BOY FREEDOM - which seems to pretty much encompass how she rolls. She’s taken the American Dream and is running with it - literally.

In fact, the first time I met her she’d run the 13 or so miles to my house when at that time I was thinking “ew no.... the most I’d run is to catch a ✈️ but ok I’ll have a smoothie waiting for you, LOL.”

Years later she’s inspired me to start running as well as countless others through her print magazine @undoordinary_ and the collaborations she’s had with people and companies all of the world.
